This beautiful, modern restaurant, with its elegant wood paneling and quirky light fixtures, is the showcase for Mississippi-born chef Wally Joe. He brings a sometimes Asian, sometimes Southern flair to dishes such as spiced quail satay and braised fresh bacon with grits and quail eggs sunny-side up. The menu also includes a popular rib-eye burger on house-made brioche. The restaurant dazzles from the Riedel glassware on the table to the shining open kitchen in back (thanks to Joe's partner in the restaurant, the founder of Viking Range). The food, always a work of art on the plate, is complemented by a vast and intriguing wine list that focuses on lighter-style, food-friendly wines such as Pinots.
