The Wave Restaurant Review:
More an upscale coffee shop than chic restaurant, The Wave aims to introduce Disney guests to more healthful cuisine: less fried food, whole-wheat pastas, sustainable seafood, organic coffees. Choose carefully and you won’t be disappointed. For breakfast, you can order naturally raised eggs, sweet potato pancakes or multigrain waffles. For lunch or dinner, the menu changes seasonally, but might include lump crab and rock shrimp cakes or a Cobb salad for starters. Entrées might range from curry vegetable stew, chili-soy marinated flat-iron steak and Mediterranean tuna salad to sustainable fish with edamame stew. An inordinate amount of the menu is devoted to drinks---specialty cocktails, organic beers, and coffees and teas. It’s worth saving room for the mini desserts. The wine list has a twist, all screw caps, probably the first restaurant to go out on that limb, focusing on new-world wines from the Southern Hemisphere.
