Whiskey's
The name says it all; this standby joint has its priorities in order --- come for the drinks and stay for the pub grub.
Whiskey's Restaurant Review:
Once the sensory overload caused by pulsating music and memorabilia-studded walls wears off, Whiskey’s customers will see that the big picture is actually quite simple --- drinks before food. After work, you'll find young people in business attire tossing back beers with their wings. As the night wears on, they’ll be replaced by a much younger crowd fresh from class scoping the singles scene. Rolls of paper towels on the tables hint at what kind of food is on the menu: racks of ribs and the like. The stone-fired meat lover’s pizza isn’t half bad, topped with crispy hamburger, sausage, bacon and pepperoni, and tastes even better with a 32-ounce personal “pitcher” of Miller Light. Weekday specials include $3 bar bites from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 12-inch cheese and pepperoni pizzas for just $2.99 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. We always save room for the jumbo chocolate brownie soaked in Kahlúa, finished with rich hot fudge and vanilla ice cream.
