Wilde Roast Cafe Restaurant Review:
If “cultivated leisure is the aim of man,” as Oscar Wilde once noted, we can’t think of a better spot to practice it than at this northeast neighborhood eatery named in his honor. We like sinking into one of the upholstered chairs with a cup of espresso while admiring the dark woodwork of the fancy fireplace. In the morning, sipping a cappuccino and indulging in the homemade crème brûlée french toast is the way to go. At lunchtime, we find the individual pizzas nicely filling; if we want a lighter option, we veer toward one of the freshly made salads. In the evening (when we’re craving something sweet), we stop in for one of the homemade desserts---like the Bene Noit---a flourless chocolate cake.
