Wink & Nod Restaurant Review:

Wink & Nod in the South End has a loungy atmosphere, sumptuous couches, and cocktails that range from house-made infusions to downright potent creations. Start off with a stiff Long Island iced tiki made with cinnamon syrup, orgeat and cranberry rum mixed with applejack, gin, lemon, orange and angostura (limited to just one per guest). We like the charcuterie for sharing along with the crispy monkfish and potato croquette with saffron and roasted garlic. Creativity is evident in dishes like lobster curry served with puffed rice and cauliflower served four ways. There’s a nice sampling of pasta dishes, too, that includes pappardelle, andouille sausage, fennel and mustard seed as well as pillowy gnocchi stuffed with dill-poached shrimp and whipped ricotta. But we couldn't resist the pork and clams with bacon, turnip and cauliflower. For dessert, the apple crisp won't disappoint.
