Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill Restaurant Review:
Don’t expect the usual cowboy décor at this modern barbecue restaurant, which features slow-roasted and then mesquite-grilled-to-order dishes. Start with the killer Buffalo wings or the shredded onions, and then choose from barbecue ribs, grilled steaks, prime ribs of beef and seafood. Lighter or lunchtime appetites may gravitate toward the BBQ chopped chicken or tri-tip salads. For the hearty eater, a barbecue combo of ribs, tri-tip and chicken is a fine signature item. But don’t forget to order up some side dishes such as the skillet baked beans, original peanut coleslaw and mac ‘n’ cheese. There’s also a well-rounded list of burgers and sandwiches. Make sure to leave room for Mom’s deep-dish fruit cobbler. The compact drinks menu is highlighted by local craft beers, California wines and cocktails made with fresh fruit juices.
