Wooden Angel Restaurant Review:
Not much changes at the family-run Wooden Angel, a widely respected wine venue. Although the owners have eased up on the volume of wine that they purchase, there are more than a few great bottles in the cellar, and some are offered at bargain prices. As for food, it's generally straightforward, seasonal fare. The main dining room menu features grilled meats and fresh seafood. Crab cakes and Angel rack of lamb are signatures. Early on, the owner recognized America's trend towards relaxed dining and introduced the more casual café. Devoid of formality, it offers the whole menu plus snappy sandwiches, salads and thin-crust platter breads. When you reserve a table, request a tour of the wine cellar.
