THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Woodlands Vegetarian Indian Cuisine Restaurant Review:
Despite having originally opened as an all-vegetarian South Indian restaurant, Woodlands brought meat onto the menu (and onto the large buffet) in its first year. But besides the popular chicken tandoori and chicken lollipops, the storefront Indian eatery still proudly serves a massive selection of vegetarian entrées, such as stuffed dosas (the Spring Dosa is filled with a samosa-like potato and pea mixture and served with spicy sambar soup and coconut chutney for dipping), fried lentil donuts, and vegetable korma. On weekdays (and until 3 p.m. on Saturday), Woodlands offers an eat-until-you-pop buffet featuring traditional curries, homemade soups, fried breads, and tangy lemon pickle. The friendly staff is always happy to explain any dish that’s unfamiliar to the American palate.
