Yama Japanese Restaurant Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: Located on the corner of a small strip mall, this tiny restaurant accommodates maybe 50 people via tables and bar seating.
Likes: All the sushi.
Dislikes: Too small space.
Food & Drinks: Kick off the Japanese meal with the avocado salad (slices on pickled veggies) and dumplings. After placing an order for a lunch or dinner box, assorted sushi or sashimi platters, teriyaki or tempura, take the time to watch the sushi chefs behind the mid-restaurant counter as they prepare dozens of dishes while the kitchen chefs do the stir-frying. Desserts include ice cream (red bean, ginger) and a tempura banana split. The best drink? Hot green tea.
