Zushi Restaurant Review:
The appearance of a new sushi restaurant in a Pasadena shopping center is hardly novel, but this exceedingly pleasant family-operated eatery --- sans sushi bar, by the way --- is attractive enough to be on a hip Westside boulevard. Above the mere handful of candlelit tables, the walls and ceiling are covered with decorative wood panels, while contemporary lighting complements a palette of cool colors. The sushi isn't premium quality; but at these bargain prices, one doesn't expect it to be. A large selection of rolls, sashimi, rice bowls and grilled entrées are offered, all presented with far more style than the prices warrant. To drink, find Japanese beer, plum wine and half a dozen sakés.
