About the restaurant: Chef-owner Matthew Meyer's 138° is inspired by the perfect temperature for finishing steaks (along with a reference to a classic punk song). Décor highlights include a firepit lounge in the dining room, dry aging display, climate-controlled portico for year-round outdoor dining and a grand piano utilized for entertainment on the weekends.
Food & Drinks: At the heart of the menu is Meyer’s in-house dry aging program, sourcing local Nevada ranch beef as well as carefully sourced pork, duck and fish, finished on a woodfire grill. Signature dishes include shrimp & Anson Mills grits with candied glazed marcona almonds, fennel butter and herb salad; chilled lobster borscht with house-cultured cream, beet consume, roasted beet and crispy beet stem; seed-crusted Anderson lamb loin chop with Carolina gold risotto, lamb jus and rapini; and 138° house-ground burger with brie, confit shallot, parm crisp and house A1.
