THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED 345 San Shi Go Restaurant Review:
Locals hang out at this South Laguna restaurant for its large sushi bar and reasonably priced Japanese eats. Situated on the second floor of a drab strip mall, 345 San Shi Go fortunately has a huge bank of windows, which shows off a sweeping view of the blue Pacific. The 15-seat sushi bar offers up classic sushi and sashimi. Signature rolls include a vegetable roll topped with salmon and thin slices of tangy lemon, and a California roll smothered in a spicy aïoli sauce and then flash-baked in the broiler. Those who want to go the izakaya route can check out hot and cold appetizers like grilled salmon collar, shishito peppers or pan-fried pork dumplings. Combo plates come with miso soup, rice and salad, along with mains such as chicken teriyaki, Mongolian beef made with American Kobe, or pan-fried noodles with shrimp and calamari. Don't feel like heading to Laguna? There is a sister restaurant in Newport Beach on the Balboa peninsula.
