THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Abruzzi Restaurant Review:
Nico Petrucci's golden-toned dining rooms aren't glitz parlors, but the cognoscenti know this restaurant as an always-reliable source of fine northern Italian cooking. Service here is skilled and professional. Petrucci's specials take advantage of seasonal items but don't ignore the classic dishes on the menu. House-made pappardelle with game sauce might be made with oxtails if game isn't available. Quail, cooked just until pink, is lightly sauced. The kitchen treats seafood well, but be clear about how done you want the fish. This wine list has so much depth in Italian wines that it's hard to make a poor choice, but the by-the-glass options are disappointingly limited.
