THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Alan Albert's Restaurant Review:
Like its adjoining sister property, Rosewood Grille & Lobster House, this stylish steakhouse hosts diners who frequent both restaurants despite the extravagant tab. Good food, good service and a comfortable, dimly lit, intimate dining room are the attractions. Crab cakes with Dijon hollandaise and oysters Rockefeller are among appealing starters. Osso buco is a house favorite, as are the extra-thick rib-eye and traditional New York steaks. Paying homage to the Strip pioneers' taste for extra-thick filet mignons are The Ben (for the Flamingo's Bugsy Siegel)---with sautéed mushrooms and a whiskey-peppercorn flambé; The Clark (Desert Inn's Wilbur)---with a Cognac demi-glace topped with pepper-studded potato confetti; and The Sarno (Caesars Palace's Jay)---with sautéed onions, mushrooms and red-wine demi-glace. Alaskan king crab legs and fresh-from-the-tanks live Maine lobster are also popular. Save room for the raspberry mousse torte. Children five and older are welcome to dine at Alan Albert's.
