THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Alice's at La Te Da Restaurant Review:
The food in this dining lollapalooza speaks for itself. All meals are served in the funky dining room, where a pianist tickles the ivories and croons schmaltzy tunes on weekends or on the luxurious enclosed patio. One of the best breakfast spots in town, it serves generous platters of bagels, lox and cream cheese, a mushroom-goat cheese omelet, biscuits and gravy and, our favorite, Texas French toast with candied pecans and apple wood-smoked bacon. Lunch and brunch items are equally impressive, including a good turkey Monte Cristo and eggs Baltimore, a scrumptious specialty of poached eggs atop lump crab cakes. The signature meatloaf tops the dinner menu, plus crispy lacquered duck and mojo-marinated ostrich. Whimsical, fun and good food---now, that's a good combination for a restaurant.
