A homey atmosphere with wood and brick walls, dark wood tables and high-backed booths welcomes diners weary from shopping. The menu offers American favorites with Mexican, Cajun and Italian influences. Nothing here is exceptional, and everything could use a little more flavor and a little less salt. One of the better dishes is still the chicken potpie, which comes in a puff pastry shell and is filled with chicken, broccoli and carrots in a wine cream sauce that’s topped with cheese and almonds. Another winner is the sandwich of grilled salmon with roasted red pepper cream sauce on a toasted French roll. Desserts are sized for sharing.
