THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Anchovies & Olives Restaurant Review:
Anchovies & Olives is a stylish, light-drenched space where seafood, sourced locally and from around the globe, is a highlight. Start with a crudo, especially if it's made with geoduck, the famous giant clam that grows exclusively in the Puget Sound. Its delicate taste and slightly crunchy texture is a revelation. Also, don't miss the smoky grilled octopus salad. The ever-changing menu showcases house-made pasta as the foundation for all things that swim. Dungeness crab tangles with fettuccine and corn, while manila clams play well with guanciale and a spicy pomodoro sauce. A party of two could easily split a plate of pasta while waiting for the main course, whether it's sherry-sauced halibut or sea scallops beefed up with lardo. If you're ready for a slight change of scenery with dessert, head over to Bar Cotto and sip an Averna.
