THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Anthony's Fine Dining Restaurant Review:
In 1797 the antebellum home housing Anthony's restaurant was built by slave labor in Washington, Georgia. It was taken apart and reassembled (over a three-year period) in a forested Buckhead lot in l967. A tourist attraction, Anthony's is shrimp cocktail and baked Brie country. The ambience makes it popular for weddings from ceremony to reception, and for corporate events and prom dinners. The menu is regional and Continental: a crab cake appetizer with cream sauce is among the stalwart starters. Florida day-boat grouper and Châteaubriand are high points. Rack of lamb and veal Anthony---with a specific preparation that varies from season to season---are signatures. Pecan pie, flourless chocolate cake, white chocolate cheesecake and soufflés are the dessert hits. Service can be slow, so enjoy the urban forest view if you have a table on one of the porch spaces.
