Antonio's in the Park Restaurant Review:
This intimate spot offers everything from light dishes (such as the fresh Caesar salad or focaccia sandwiches) to an array of pastas, a good selection of veal --- limone and piccata, for example --- plus seafood like salmon caprese and shrimp scampi. The setting includes a cozy bar with walls swathed in red-and-gold damask and a dining room with wine cabinets lining one wall. A must-order is the vedova (widow's soup), a sturdy minestrone-type restorative embellished with a poached egg, pesto and ricotta. The soup alone makes a fine dinner paired with crusty Italian bread and a green salad dressed with olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic and cheese. But who can resist the pollo d'Umbria, layers of chicken, eggplant, prosciutto and cheese in a creamy tomato sauce? You’ll also find --- and should consider --- fish specialties each day. For dessert, opt for the tiramisu. There's a full bar with a nice selection of reds.
