THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Market & Rye Restaurant Review:
Chef-owner Ryan Scott sold his 3-Sum Eats food trucks to open this permanent brick-and-mortar eatery on Potrero Hill. Featuring a large dining room and one of San Francisco's few free parking lots (the restaurant is attached to a small strip of retail), the location offers breakfast and lunch that extends into early dinner until the shop closes at 7 p.m. Scott's signature food truck dish --- the cornflake-crusted fried chicken sandwich --- is a highlight at any hour, even at breakfast (maybe while dining alongside a police officer just off a late overnight shift). Pastries that debut in the morning, including a creative bacon and peanut butter turnover, are sold at half price after 2 p.m. Each night features one "dinner special," from spaghetti and meatballs to sriracha hot wings. Drink selections include a smattering of beers and wines; a stack of board games is available for casual fun.
