THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Morton's The Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
Reminiscent of a men’s club, this high-end steakhouse attracts a well-heeled expense account crowd. Hidden down a flight of stairs in the vintage Decatur Building, the dining room's polished cherry wood walls and low lighting add to the exclusive vibe. The formula here is simple and successful: use quality ingredients, offer professional service from waiters in tuxedos, and hire chefs trained to know the precise difference between medium-rare and medium. It’s no wonder the juicy, well-marbled New York strip steak arrives cooked to order. Seafood shows up on the menu too, including whole baked Maine lobster, Chilean sea bass, and jumbo lump crab cakes. Lyonnaise potatoes or steamed asparagus with hollandaise sauce are fine à la carte accompaniments. Finish a meal with crème brûlée or upside-down apple pie. Morton’s pricey wine list has a global focus. Classic cocktails are well-prepared and popular during happy hour.
