True to its 10021 zip code, Barbalùc attracts the Euro-fabulous like Honolulu's Chanel boutique attracts tourists. The young and square-jawed crowd the upstairs bar, while the older UES set dine on so-called Friulian fare in the dining room, where wine bottles on stark backlit cases dominate the space. Like other neighborhood air-kissing Meccas like Amaranth, Barbalùc is more scene than scrumptious.
