THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED BCD Tofu House Restaurant Review:
BCD Tofu House has branches in Korea, California, Washington, New Jersey and New York, but despite its ubiquity, what it serves is far from the pseudo-authentic cuisine typical of chain restaurants. This K-Town eatery specializes in a soft tofu cooked in a variety of broths and brought to the table simmering in a stone pot. There are versions with beef, shrimp and clam; shrimp, oysters and clam; hearty beef dumplings; and mixed small intestine in broths varying from mild to very spicy. Want something more familiar? Opt for dishes like bibimbap, a mélange of rice, assorted vegetables and meats, or conventional barbecue selections cooked in the kitchen or at tabletop grills. This is Korean comfort food fit to be washed down with a tall glass of organic iced tea or a bottle of Hite beer.
