Beautys Restaurant Review:
Hymie Sckolnick opened this diner in 1942. The beloved owner passed away in 2017, but his family continues his legacy. The old-school décor is reminiscent of that seen in “Happy Days” and “Grease.” Weekend regulars know that there’s usually a wait, but eventually one of the booths open up or some choice seats at the counter are vacated. For breakfast, try the ever-popular banana pancakes or the Beautys Special, a bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomatoes and onions. Or brave the Mish Mash, an omelet with salami, hot dogs, green peppers and onion. Service is friendly and efficient. If you come for brunch or lunch, the mac ‘n’ cheese is a must, as is the cookies ‘n’ cream milk shake.
