This 18th-century manor home turned inn and restaurant exudes romance, from the yellow-washed exterior to the candlelit dining rooms accented by roaring fires. In keeping with its place in local history, the menu offers updated, seasonally influenced renditions of regional classics, like pan-roasted venison loin and seared sea scallops, as well as more contemporary creations --- think herb-infused cocktails; beef short ribs with blue cheese smashed potatoes; and chocolate chai torte for dessert.
