With the plethora of steak and seafood houses in Connecticut, competition is undoubtedly stiff. Still, while Bennett’s is neither trendsetting nor extraordinarily well-appointed in either its décor or cuisine, it nevertheless offers well-prepared steak and fish in a comfortable setting. The fact that its proprietor, Bennett Salvatore, also happens to be a retired NBA referee is an additional plus for basketball fans looking to reminisce over a hearty classic American meal.
