Besito Restaurant Review:
Chef Matthew Lake's Mexican restaurant in Huntington Village has an upscale and chic vibe. Dark wood floors and brown accents craft a Mexican folk art look, and the dim candlelight provides the ideal atmosphere in which to enjoy the authentic fare. Appetizers include standbys like guacamole, served in a molcajete, as well as several varieties of authentic tacos. Main dishes are divided into tacos, enchiladas and platos fuertes. Tacos are presented in a cast-iron skillet and come in several versions, like traditional al pastor with pineapple and pork or carne asada. There are also a few less common dishes, like tortilla with seafood and poblano cream sauce or Veracruz fish with capers. Cocktails, margaritas and a large selection of blanco, reposado and añejo tequilas are on offer; a tequila flight is a good option for those looking to try several varieties.
