THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bistro Aix Restaurant Review:

Chef-owner Jonathan Beard put this French-inspired bistro on the map back in 1996. Since then, Marina locals have been tight-lipped about their little slice of heaven. They are reluctant to share any of the space in the cozy white-walled dining room dotted with black and white photos, the even cozier and romantic back patio, or the comfortable L-shaped bar (perfect for wine and appetizers for two or an early bird prix-fixe dinner for one). Starters include burrata with roasted eggplant, duck leg confit with Manteca beans and the popular cracker-crust pizzas. Earthy entrées emerge mainly from the grill: leg of lamb, top sirloin, local king salmon, Hawaiian ahi. Rustic desserts may end a home-style meal: try the apple pie with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce or the flourless chocolate cake with espresso ice cream. An international wine list includes well over 100 selections.
