If you’re looking for quiet dinner conversation, this isn’t the place. But if you want to have fun, eat pub grub and cheer on your favorite teams, BlackFinn Restaurant & Saloon hits a homerun. Established in New York City in 1994, this chain has found a formula that works. Diners are never more than a glance away from TV---a state-of-the-art sound system and 30 large screen, flat-panel TVs (plus personal flat-panels in every booth) get you up close to the sports action. A creative martini menu incites cheers. Tasty sliders come in classic beef, barbecue bacon, pulled pork and chicken Parmesan varieties. Chicken balsamica---pan-seared with portobello mushrooms and roasted red peppers---is another favorite. If you want to keep on the slider track for dessert, order four miniature ice cream sandwiches made with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with chocolate sauce for dipping.
