Another chicer-than-thou setting from which to enjoy the pleasure of al fresco dining on Rittenhouse Square. Neil Stein's latest venue has blue awnings and rattan chairs, dark wood, dim lights, and unbelievably delightful murals of Philadelphia scenes, rendered by artist Chris Lynn in an impressionist form that brightens the drabbest day. So does the food. Set your taste buds for rosy beef carpaccio, salmon tartare, inventive salads, spring rolls of duck confit, seared scallops, or the inevitable steak frites---all done beautifully. But the menu changes daily. The staff is agreeable, the wine list affordable, and the place rocks 'til 2 a.m. nightly.
