THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED In Bloom Restaurant Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant & décor: A partnership between talented executive chefs Kevin Perry and Cyrus Keefer, In Bloom Restaurant inhabits a cozy townhouse with a stone bar and hardwood floors.
Likes: Get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie platter and sit on the patio to enjoy a robust conversation, or dine on the daily changing menu.
Dislikes: Parking early in the week can be difficult when there’s no valet.
Food & Drinks: A large chalkboard daily menu could tout stuffies, pork and shrimp with xo sauce, crab cakes with seasonal vegetables or a budino of salted chocolate. Bread service brings baked-in-house focaccia of the day with Fontina, sea salt, olive oil and rosemary. Patrons can choose from medium shareable plates and/or three to five entrées an evening. Dishes draw from what is freshest that day from local purveyors --- this is where the chefs get their inspiration. Only a few regular items are offered, like the risotto fritters with lemon chive crème fraîche. Weather permitting, ask to be seated under the vine-topped pergola, one of the loveliest and most romantic al fresco dining settings in the city.
