From the queso fundido (cheese fondue) with sautéed zucchini blossoms, corn and onions to the sparkling fresh ceviche, to the Veracruz-style shrimp cocktail, you’ll know from the first bite you’re not in a fast food joint. Consider the special entrées: grilled salmon swimming in a poblano chile-tomatillo sauce, filet mignon with a spicy chipotle sauce, classic mole poblano or the signature chiles en nogada: juicy chiles in creamy walnut sauce. Children’s plates are attractive and feature things that kids like, such as cheese enchiladas, tacos and a quesadilla. A list of more than 20 premium tequilas should satisfy the aficionado. Hours change seasonally, so check before visiting. Look for special buffet brunches on holidays such as Mother's Day.
