THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Blue Angel (l'ange bleu) Restaurant Review:
Stephen Starrs latest restaurant-cum-theater successfully recreates Belle Epoque Paris. The stunning ambiance---glass-tiled ceiling and walls, original tiled floor, handsome brass-accented banquettes, imported zinc bar---is illuminated by glowing fin de siècle fixtures. The food, wine and gentle prices fit in perfectly; one may dine on oysters and cassoulet, escargots, steak frites, a true salade Lyonnaise and trout meunière with a bottle of house wine and not feel too much pain. Desserts are comforting, as is the staff. Friendly and un-Parisian in attitude, they are the only thing thats not authentic.
