THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Blush Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review:
The setting is a stunner at this Main Line restaurant owned by chef Nick Farina, a study in burgundy, gold and cream in a two-level manse tucked behind some offices off Lancaster Avenue. Although the line of flat-screens above the bar strikes a discordant note, most menu items fall into place, including tasty sweet potato ravioli with sage cream and a cheesy quesadilla dotted with bits of lean bison. Entrées can be hit-or-miss---a seared tuna with a soba noodle salad is lackluster, and a grilled sirloin arrives closer to mooing than medium rare. But crab cakes are spot on, full of sweet lump crab meat with tasty sides of risotto and avocado mousse. A $6 tapas menu is perfect for enjoying Medi nibbles, especially out on the terrace when the weather is fine. Or enjoy the entranceway bar, complete with a fireplace.
