THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Botucatu Restaurant Restaurant Review:
The hearty flavors of Central and South America shine at this adorable café on the edge of the South End. More upscale than many of its local counterparts, it offers some rather complex dishes with nonetheless simple prices. The Peruvian chef blends his homeland's cookery with Brazilian, Mexican and Spanish cuisines, often throwing African spices in to the mix. Pork belly is fried and served with lemon, onions and an Andean hominy. Tostones are a righteous version of the infamous mashed plantain dish. Shrimp are afloat in a spicy sauce of coconut milk and palm oil. Stews are excellent. There's even a small wine list to choose from if beer isn't your style.
