THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cafe Spiaggia Restaurant Review:
A respite amid Mag Mile madness, the sleek and modern Cafe Spiaggia is perfect for a tryst, especially when you sit at a table for two in a window alcove overlooking the cityscape. It's also less expensive than Spiaggia across the hall. Start with the killer warm burrata with acacia honey, roasted apples, Sardinian sea salt and spiced pumpkin seeds, then consider a move to the homemade pastas (a Spiaggia specialty) such as the gnocchi with wild boar ragù and lumache with snails and garlic. Entrée standouts include whole roasted branzino for two, skirt steak with pickled shallots, and local pork shoulder polenta. End the meal with a cheese course or Valrhona chocolate-pistachio custard tart with stracciatella gelato. The café's wine list, like that of its older sibling, is loaded with treasures.
