THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cascabel Taqueria Restaurant Review:

Cascabel is an authentic Mexican taqueria on the Upper East Side. Order tacos and you get two tongue, seafood, shrimp, carne asada or chicken soft-corn versions served on a metal baking dish with your choice of green and red hot sauces. Each comes with interesting vegetable toppings such as hearts of palms, spring onions and oyster mushrooms. Lunchtime sandwiches and dinner plates from puerco en adobo to carne a la plancha (grilled strip steak) round out the menu. For dessert, there’s tres leches cake and churros that take a square nugget shape. A nice selection of Mexican cocktails is offered along with wines, including some South American choices.
