The Charter Oak Restaurant Review:
Christopher Kostow and Nathaniel Dorn, both of The Restaurant at Meadowood, have brought The Charter Oak to downtown St. Helena. Dining family style is a focus, and the seasonal fare is created with the products of local purveyors as well as the venue’s own farm. The menu has included a peas-green garlic-lardo tartine, wheat rigatoni with vegetable bolognese, and pork shoulder with bitter greens. Wines, beers and cocktails (“cocktail no. 3” blends gin with honey, lemon and cucumber) round out the experience.
