Formerly of Val d’Or, Géraud Rongier has established a bistro in his own name in the charming, residential sixteenth arrondissement. Decadent French cuisine is served to a stylish clientele of celebrities and successful businessmen at home in the restaurant’s fresco-decorated space. While his patrons may be of-the-moment, his cuisine is traditional. On the menu are truffled scrambled eggs, escargots, game when in season and for dessert, a coffee-flavored Paris-Brest. Chez Géraud is a good option to sample classical French cuisine off the tourist-beaten path.
