Chef/owner Henrique Laranjo is a generous soul who welcomes guests into his restaurant as one would a traditional Portuguese home. The humble exterior does not do justice to the elegant, fun and creative space found inside. Live entertainment on some weekends includes traditional Portuguese fado, Hungarian or gypsy melodies. Plates include tasty snails in a mushroom and porto sauce or shrimps in hearty, creamy gravy. Calamari, meanwhile, lacks taste. Many small dishes, or petiscos, are the order of the day and include a balance of meats, seafood and pastas.
