Whether for an important business lunch or a celebratory dinner, Chops is the place to go to impress. Located on a busy pedestrian mall, its dark, polished interior is a nod to steakhouses of yore, with modern design elements balancing the old-school feel. The location makes it a popular spot for the state's movers and shakers to woo one another, but it is also a great choice to celebrate after hours. Diners are greeted with an oversize meat case, stocked with the corn-fed dry-aged beef for which Chops is known. Starters include bacon-wrapped prawns and barbecue pork-topped fries, while mains include grilled New York steak, smoked pork loin chop and blackened salmon. For dessert there’s a chocolate lava cake, cheesecake with mango coulis and house-made carrot cake dusted with walnuts and pistachios. Plenty of signature cocktails are on the menu as well as the classics, such as the Sidecar and Old Fashioned.
