THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Churchill Restaurant Review:
This stylish restaurant and bar in the West Third Street shopping and dining district is attached to The Orlando boutique hotel, but it’s more of a hip neighborhood hangout. A rustic-industrial aesthetic ties together the dark wood-paneled dining room, lofty balcony and airy glass-walled bar/lounge which, for our money, offers the liveliest seating. The crowd is young, local and energetic, fueled in part by a top-rate cocktail program and two dozen craft beers on tap. Despite the British gastropub moniker, the menu offers casual but well-crafted seasonal American cuisine. Market oysters are sweet and plump, and the house-made charcuterie is refined. Entrées are mostly under $20, with generous portions and quality ingredients. Our destination dish is the savory braised beef cheek. Delicate roasted local sea bass is bathed in a sunchoke sauce with fresh favas and carrot-fennel slaw. The big wood-fire oven turns out a good thin-crust prosciutto pizza. Don’t forsake dessert --- the chocolate stout ice cream float offers a cool, dark finish.
