THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Circa 1926 Restaurant Review:
This space on the corner of busy Park Avenue and Canton Avenue in Winter Park’s historic downtown has been through multiple incarnations over the years. The interior is chic and somewhat noisy, but romantic two-tops in the back offer long curtains for privacy. Circa 1926 offers starters like crab cakes with sweet chili butter sauce. Entrées include a lot of seafood dishes such as lobster cavatappi pasta and grilled tiger shrimp. Other options range from Caribbean curried chicken to lamb chops to tamarind-braised short ribs. Skip desserts and instead head upstairs for a nightcap. There’s a supper club throwback to the 1950s on Thursday nights with live music, and a more casual pub in the back.
