Cité offers fantastic 360-degree views from its 70th floor perch atop Lake Point Tower, and therein lies the appeal. Really, the food is not the star of the show, but dishes like garlicky escargots, steak tartare and Wagyu New York strip taste fine when Navy Pier fireworks are in view. Furthering the romance-equals-luxe-appeal: butter-poached lobster, duck a l’orange and fruit de mer risotto. End your evening with a Cognac and tableside-flamed dessert.
