THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED CK's Restaurant Review:
While the menu is somewhat standard---seafood, beef and veal---the view from CK's is unique. The restaurant sits atop the Marriott hotel and revolves at a virtually undetectable .05 miles per hour, giving diners a 360-degree view of Tampa's western edge and, more spectacularly, Tampa Bay. The sunsets from this vantage point---or of the high, rolling clouds of a tropical summer storm---are memorable. So is much of the food. The menu changes periodically but look for twin lobster tails or potato-crusted salmon or pan-seared sea bass. We also suggest the macadamia grouper (when in season), prepared with shrimp, mango relish, piña colada sauce and grilled asparagus. A nice surprise, when offered, is the sautéed pesto snapper with shrimp, rice, black olives and a tomato vinaigrette. For dessert, try something cool like the Key lime pie.
