This restaurant, with its high-backed wooden booths, mosaic tile floors, thick white tablecloths, burnished dark wood and hanging schoolhouse light fixtures, is rife with nostalgia. The American fare, which brings to mind Hollywood's venerable Musso & Frank's, includes many chophouse standards, and classics from another era (e.g. oysters Rockefeller, crab Louie, liver and onions) share the menu with steaks and seafood. Club 41’s Caesar salad, still prepared tableside, is one of the best around. Desserts range from cheesecake to chocolate mousse pie.
