THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Conga Latin Bistro Restaurant Review:
This hot-spot is the place to go when you want to shake your booty. Conga is filled with, well, congas. In fact, the festive drums hang on walls; they're used as table bases; lights over the bar are shaped like them; and they definitely are being used to fuel fun on the dance floor. With nods to Mexico, the Caribbean and South America, the cuisine is far-reaching Pan-Latin; best bets include the empanadas (little pastries filled with chicken, beef or melted cheese), Jamaican chicken and churrasco Argentino, a beef tenderloin accompanied by zesty chimichurri. The wine list stays on point, featuring wines from countries like Chile, Spain and Argentina. While good, we find the desserts a bit predictable: flan, rice pudding and tres leches cake. Instead, we save our sweet tooth for the tempting slew of tropical drinks: think rum punch, fruity daiquiris, Cuban mojitos and strong margaritas.
