Contempo Cafe Restaurant Review:
This 140-seat quick-service restaurant has a twist: electronic menus and touch screens for ordering (in English or Spanish). The cashier hands you a pager and when it blinks, you return to the window to pick up your eats. You’ll find a cheeseburger and fries and Caesar salad, but the menu elevates quick-service with choices like a honey-lime chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese and pasta with chicken and basil-cream sauce. Flatbreads have a thin-crisp crust that comes from a local bakery. Soups and salads round out the diverse menu. Breakfast is more limited, but offers a breakfast burrito, french toast, waffles and oatmeal. And though the kitchen closes at 10 p.m., late-night “grab ‘n go” munchies are available until midnight.
