THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Dado Restaurant Review:
A welcome addition to the West Los Angeles dining scene, Dado, sandwiched in the crush of Sawtelle Boulevards Japanese restaurants, offers robust Italian flavors in a refined, urban atmosphere. We love the sautéed shellfish and squid appetizer served over a creamy chickpea puree as well as the selection of garden fresh salads ranging from warm spinach with fresh goat cheese to baby artichokes and Parmesan. The not-to-be-missed specialty is Italian-born owner Tony Mianos own recipe for tangy saltimbocca. The restaurant also offers well-priced wood-oven pizzas as well as a handful of daily specials. Although limited, the thoughtfully assembled wine list offers a fine introduction to Italian imports.
