This clubby, upscale northern Italian steakhouse combines the best of two worlds: fine steaks and pasta specialties such as braised veal agnolotti with black truffles. Whole-wheat penne can be substituted on any pasta dish. On the carnivorous side, the crispy chicken livers with port balsamic glaze are a treat, and the Prime flat-iron steak with house steak sauce and broccoli rabe is richly flavorful. For dessert, select offerings from Davio’s own bakery or enjoy house-made ice creams and sorbets. On Sundays, you may bring your own wine with no corkage fee. The Federalist setting (the restaurant is housed in the original Provident Bank) is elegantly severe, but the welcome from the staff is always warm.
